Lilac Festival

Today we went to the Lilac Festival.... Rochester tradition.... and it was mobbed. The parade was fun, lots of bands, a few firetrucks and horses. Iain enjoyed himself. Ella was feeling a little under the weather. She just wanted to go to sleep, which she did after the noise from the parade was done. After the parade we tryed to take a walk around.... along with the thousands of other people who where walking around. We decided to get going when the crowds started to get on Sean's nevres (which didn't take very long). On the way to the car, we stopped to take some pictures of the lilacs.

Iain in a magnolia tree. During our walk back to the car, all Iain wanted to do was climb trees. And with so many low branches around, it was very tempting!

Ella liked taking a closer look at the lilacs. There are hundreds of lilac bushes and you didn't even have to get close to smell them. You could smell them as you were walking by. They where goregous and in full bloom!

Love the pictures from the Lilac festival. The one of you and Ella looking at the lilacs together is especially precious. Thanks for sharing!!!
